I'm Pippa, a Pilates Instructor and Manual Stretch Therapist dedicated to helping you move and live well.
I started Pippa's Pilates & Stretch in 2012 with a mission to improve the way people like you move, feel, and function out in the real world.
As a lifelong dancer, I’ve always been interested in how the body moves. During my career as a professional performer, I experienced some interesting injuries and intense wear and tear, which led me on a continuing journey of learning and training to heal, restore and rebuild every body.

As a certified Pilates instructor, I guide you through exercises that strengthen your core and stability and improve your posture. That means better balance, fewer aches or strains, and more confidence in your everyday movements – from tying your shoes or squatting down to play with the kids, to playing sports and hiking.
Manual Stretch Therapy unwinds tension and unlocks movement for a pain-free, mobile life.
With an advanced understanding of how your muscles and fascia work, I use gentle, therapeutic stretching techniques to release chronic tension in your neck or lower back, improve mobility in your hips and shoulders and reduce pain. I can also teach you how to adapt your own stretches and workouts to feel amazing every day.

"I’ve experienced the effectiveness of Pippa’s work both as a pro athlete and for pain reduction now that I’ve been retired for over 10 years. One evening, I went to the gym for my normal off-season workout on my way home from getting stretched with Pippa. I was a few lifts into my routine and looking down at my paper to make sure I wasn’t making mistakes on my desired weights for that workout. I looked back at the pins on the machines to make sure I wasn’t putting them in the wrong places. I was doing 4 sets at 12 reps and usually by the third set, I’d struggle with the last 2 reps, and on the last set, I’d struggle and need a spotter. In my workout after getting stretched, I was able to do all four sets without struggling. After a few lifts, I was able to add roughly 10% to the weight I had been lifting the time before. From a sports perspective, any time you can increase your productivity by 10% is a HUGE jump. I realized it was because I was operating at my full potential rather than fighting my own body because I was tight.
Retiring after 20 years as a pro, I developed arthritis in my hip and felt severe pain daily for 4 years. I visited doctors, went to physical therapy, and started taking medication just to get through the day. After my doctor mentioned hip replacements (I’m just turning 40), I decided to go back to see Pippa and see if getting stretched would help. Within 2 sessions, my body responded: I got my range of motion back and I’ve not had pain in that hip since. I have a much better quality of life, doing the things I love like hiking and playing golf. Pippa is a master at what she does!"
