Hybrid Sessions

Need a little bit of everything? Hybrid sessions are a customized mix of Pilates, self-stretching, self-myofascial release, and troubleshooting whatever is holding you back.

These sessions will teach you safe, practical skills to implement on your own.

Here are some examples of what a hybrid session can offer:
  • Learn stretches and exercises to do when you get tight before, during, or after your walks & hikes.
  • Create a super short, yet effective warm up to use before your other workouts
  • Unwind your tension and pain with your foam rolling or other props
  • Master the stretches you really need to do on your own to stay balanced & flexible
  • Figure out why your squats (or whatever specific movement you’re getting stuck on) aren’t improving and then learn how to train differently.
“Pippa has been absolutely fantastic during this whole stay at home order. She set up private lessons for me by Zoom for pilates and stretch and it has helped so much. I've watched pilates videos before but the individualized verbal cues made for a much more effective workout. I highly recommend her as an instructor!” - Janet

Studio Pilates on the Apparatus (aka machines)
The Arcadia studio is located near 32nd St. & Indian School Rd. in Phoenix, AZ.

3131 E. Clarendon Ave
Unit 106
Phoenix, AZ 85016
How much does it cost?
  • Single session $99
  • 10 sessions $940 ($94 each)
How long are sessions?
Sessions are 50-55 minutes long.
How often do I need to come in for hybrid sessions?
That really depends on several factors, I usually leave it up to clients to help strategize what will work for them.
How are hybrid sessions different than a group class or a workshop?
When you work with me one on one, we get to focus on you and customize each session. We can incorporate whatever tools or props you want. You don’t have to remember any of your modifications, and each correction is just for you. This is the optimal way to make quick and substantial changes to the way you move and how you feel.

In group classes, you’re still learning from me directly but the corrections and the exercises or stretches are more geared towards everyone in the class. We are limited to using whatever props or topics the class is designed for. It’s still a safe lesson, but you will need to be personally responsible for modifying and adapting for your body.
Is it safe to do this if I’m under my doctor, physical therapist, or chiropractor’s care?
Yes! Especially if you bring specific information about your diagnosis, current treatment, and any protocols or recommendations your other caregivers can provide. I’m also happy to communicate directly with them if you give and document consent.
I have a specific issue, injury, or physical limitation. Can you help me?
Yes, I’m here to help!

Pilates can support healthy modifications for a wide variety of special populations such as (but not limited to) low back pain, joint replacements, pelvic floor dysfunction, neurological conditions, all stages of pregnancy, osteoporosis, chronic pain, cancer, and scoliosis.

Pilates, especially on the apparatus, can create a safe, smooth transition from an injury or painful issue back into regular activity. It allows you to experience a positive movement experience (it feels good and you are successful doing it) which can make all the difference in how you approach exercise once you have “healed” from the initial issue. Many injuries are chronic or a result of a repetitive stress, we can isolate and re-train that pattern to prevent it from reoccurring.

I’m able to apply all these tools and training to using foam rollers, stretch straps, etc. with anything you have going on.
What is your cancellation policy?
I have a strict 24 hour cancellation policy, unless it is directly related to COVID illness or exposure. This policy is in place to protect the business.
How do I pay?
You can pay via cash or any type of payment that Square accepts. Square works with any US-issued and most internationally-issued magstripe or chip cards bearing a Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, JCB, or UnionPay logo.
What are your COVID policies?
Basically, we will both be wearing masks covering our nose and mouth until further notice. Air purifiers and fans are on at all times to keep the air clean and flowing. Hand sanitizer and washing options are always provided.

This blog post covers everything in detail.
I feel out of place and intimidated at the gym or in a bigger studio, how is this different?
When you work with me one on one, there’s no one else in the room! I work out of a small private studio, where no one can see in the windows or through the door. My goal is to help clients feel comfortable and confident, not judged or intimidated.
