Bessy and I are relocating to Los Angeles at the end of this year. There are many exciting opportunities and experiences for me there as well as being close to my family, an amazing dance community, and comfortable temps. Even though change can be daunting, scary, or uncomfortable at times it always leads to massive growth. Luckily, I feel really called to follow this new direction and I’m trusting my gut on this one. No Class Monday July 4th or 25th! 6/17/2022 New Video-Standing Pilates Ring WorkoutStanding Pilates Ring Workout This video is a simple yet challenging standing full body workout using the Pilates Ring, which is a great prop to add resistance and enhance the feel of the exercises. I encourage all levels of experience to practice this workout as it includes balance work and applies Pilates principles to functional, everyday movements. The video is designed to be practiced standing without assistance, but feel free to hold on to something stable to assist with balance. This is a safe workout for those with Osteoporosis or Osteopenia, please take care to avoid curving in your upper back when putting the ring in place and don’t turn further than you would to back up your car when rotating. All levels welcome, I take requests and lots of modifications or options are given. 3/11/2022 New Video!At only 11 minutes long, there’s a lot of bang for your buck in this hip & core workout. If you’ve done it in class, you know exactly what I mean! Did you know that better/increased pelvic stability and hip mobility can help reduce lower back stiffness and pain? It also helps with balance, knee pain, and posture. You can do this with or without the resistance loop (or tie up a theraband.) You may want a pillow or rolled up towel for underneath your head to support your neck and shoulders. If you feel any pressure on the bottom hip, try placing some padding like a towel, extra mat, or blanket underneath you. You can check out the video here, it can be rented on it’s own or included in your monthly membership.
